Abstract
An assembly can include a first component having at least one drainage channel and at least one fluid channel. The assembly can also include a second component having at least one drainage channel and at least one fluid channel. The assembly can also include a quick-connect coupling. The quick-connect coupling can be configured to couple the first component and the second component, fluidically connect the at least one drainage channel of the first component to the at least one drainage channel of the second component, and fluidically connect the at least one fluid channel of the first component to the at least one fluid channel of the second component.
Claims12
An endoscope comprising:
- a control head having at least one control knob;
- an insertion tube removably coupled to the control head;
- and
- a quick-connect coupling configured to couple the control head and the insertion tube, wherein
- a first portion of the quick-connect coupling is formed on the control head,
- the first portion includes:
- a suction line fitting surrounding a suction channel;
- at least one fluid line outlet fluidically connected to at least one fluid channel of the control head;
- and
- a light guide fiber outlet in optical communication with a light guide fiber of the control head, the light guide fiber outlet having a centerline,
- a second portion of the quick-connect coupling is formed on the insertion tube,
- the first portion is configured to rotate about a center point of the suction line fitting, and
- the first portion includes a first diameter, and the at least one fluid line outlet and the light guide fiber outlet are spaced around the center point at the first diameter.
An endoscope comprising:
- a control head having at least one control knob;
- an insertion tube removably coupled to the control head;
- and
- a quick-connect coupling configured to couple the control head and the insertion tube, wherein
- a first portion of the quick-connect coupling is formed on the control head, and the first portion includes at least one first articulation wire coupling attached to at least one first articulation wire within the control head,
- a second portion of the quick-connect coupling is formed on the insertion tube, and the second portion includes at least one second articulation wire coupling attached to at least one second articulation wire within the insertion tube, and
- either one of the at least one first articulation wire coupling or the at least one second articulation wire coupling is supported in a lateral direction relative to a longitudinal direction of the control head and moves in the lateral direction to engage the other.
