Method for controlling dishwasher

A method for controlling a dishwasher, the dishwasher comprising:

• a tub constructed to accommodate therein dishes;
• a spray arm disposed in the tub and configured to spray washing water to the dishes, wherein the spray arm includes a plurality of spray arms positioned at different positions;
• a switching valve configured to operate such that the washing water is selectively supplied to at least one of the plurality of spray arms,
• a compressor for compressing refrigerant;
• a condenser fluid-communicating with the compressor, wherein heat exchange between the washing water and the refrigerant occurs while washing water and the refrigerant flow separately in the condenser;
• and
• a washing pump fluid-communicating with the condenser and configured to transfer the washing water,
• wherein the method comprises:
• measuring an operation value generated under an operation the washing pump;
• comparing the operation value with a set value;
• and
• in response to that the operation value exceeds the set value, operating the switching valve to change the spray arm to which the washing water is to be supplied among the plurality of spray arms to which the washing water may be supplied;
• measuring the operation value generated under the operation of the washing pump after the change;
• comparing the operation value measured after the change with the set value;
• in response to that the operation value is equal to or lower than the set value, removing foreign substances accumulated in the spray arm;
• and
• in response to that the operation value exceeds the set value, removing foreign substances accumulated in the condenser.
