A method for suspending a shower curtain from a shower rod, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing a first arm, a second arm, an upper rod-engagement portion, a first magnetic element, and a second magnetic element, wherein said first arm, said second arm, and said upper rod-engagement portion configured to be releasably coupled together to support at least one of a shower curtain and a shower liner;
- suspending each of said first arm and said second arm from a shower curtain rod, wherein each of said first arm and said second arm comprises said upper rod-engagement portion formed at an upper end between said first arm and said second arm;
- wherein said upper rod-engagement portion is curved and is dimensioned to receive and suspend said first arm and said second arm from the shower curtain rod;
- wherein said first arm extends downwardly from said upper rod-engagement portion to a lower end in a first curtain-retention portion;
- engaging and supporting a portion of at least one of a shower curtain and a shower liner with said first curtain-retention portion;
- wherein said first curtain-retention portion comprises a first bent portion forming an inwardly directed curved section;
- wherein said first bent portion comprises a first cradle region for receiving at least one of a shower curtain aperture and a shower liner aperture;
- wherein said first curtain-retention portion comprises a first support tab extending inwardly from said first arm;
- engaging with said first support tab a portion of an edge forming the at least one of the shower curtain aperture and the shower liner aperture;
- wherein said second arm extends downwardly from said upper rod-engagement portion to a lower end in a second curtain-retention portion;
- engaging and supporting a portion of at least one of a shower curtain and a shower liner with said second curtain-retention portion;
- wherein said second curtain-retention portion comprises a second bent portion forming an inwardly directed curved section;
- wherein said second bent portion comprises a second cradle region for receiving at least one of a shower curtain aperture and a shower liner aperture;
- wherein said second curtain-retention portion comprises a second support tab extending inwardly from said second arm;
- engaging with said second support tab a portion of an edge forming the at least one of the shower curtain aperture and the shower liner aperture;
- wherein said first magnetic element disposed on a first exterior surface of said first bent portion along said first support tab of said first curtain-retention portion;
- wherein said second magnetic element disposed on a second exterior surface of said second bent portion along said second support tab of said second curtain-retention portion;
- and
- magnetically coupling said first magnetic element with said second magnetic element when said first arm is brought proximally to said second arm.
