Floor mat retention system

A floor mat retention system comprising:

• a mat having an upper surface and a lower surface;
• and
• a plurality of groups of elongated protrusions extending from the lower surface of the mat, each of the plurality of groups of elongated protrusions including at least two elongated protrusions angled relative to each other,
• wherein a first row of groups of the plurality of groups of elongated protrusions includes a first row repeating pattern, and
• wherein a first column of groups of the plurality of groups of elongated protrusions includes a first column repeating pattern.

A floor mat retention system comprising:

• a mat having an upper surface and a lower surface;
• and
• a plurality of groups of elongated protrusions extending from the lower surface of the mat, each of the plurality of groups of elongated protrusions including at least two elongated protrusions angled relative to each other,
• wherein a first pair of groups of the plurality of groups of elongated protrusions are disposed at a first group angle relative to each other,
• wherein a second pair of groups of the plurality of groups of elongated protrusions are disposed at a second group angle relative to each other, and
• wherein a third pair of groups of the plurality of groups of elongated protrusions are disposed at a third group angle relative to each other.
