Adjustable desk assemblies and methods of using the same

An adjustable desk assembly, comprising:

• an enclosure including a rear wall and a pair of enclosure side walls arranged substantially parallel to one another and coupled to the rear wall in a substantially perpendicular manner such that the rear wall and the enclosure side walls define a U-shaped channel;
• a platform carriage received within the U-shaped channel and movably coupled to the enclosure in a manner that permits vertical translation of the platform carriage, the platform carriage integrating an upper platform and a lower platform;
• and
• a post member coupled to the enclosure and comprising a height-adjustable extension member extending above the upper platform, the height-adjustable extension member being driven by a motorized actuator and coupled to the platform carriage, wherein the height-adjustable extension member is configured to extend downward to lower the platform carriage and to retract upward to raise the platform carriage along a vertical path;
• and
• wherein the motorized actuator is configured to place the platform carriage at selectable heights along the vertical path and permits the adjustable desk assembly to be arranged in:
• a first operational configuration suitable for standing use in which the platform carriage is raised to a first elevated height;
• a second operational configuration suitable for chair-seated use in which the platform carriage is positioned at a second intermediate height;
• and a third operational configuration suitable for floor-seated use in which the platform carriage is lowered to position the lower platform proximate or adjacent to a floor-level.
