Abstract
An article of footwear comprising an upper, a midsole comprising a first recess and a second recess, and an A-shaped support frame. The A-shaped support frame may comprise a first leg extending towards the heel region and a second leg extending away from the heel region. The first leg may be configured to extend along the first recess and the second leg may be configured to extend along the second recess.

An article of footwear comprising:
- an upper;
- a sole assembly connected to the upper, the sole assembly comprising:
- a midsole comprising a soft durometer portion extending between a forefoot region and a heel region of the article of footwear and a firm durometer portion positioned in the heel region of the article of footwear, wherein the midsole comprises a first recess extending through the firm durometer portion and a second recess extending through the soft durometer portion;
- and
- an outsole attached or secured to the midsole;
- and
- an A-frame configured to support the heel region and/or a midfoot region of the article of footwear, wherein the A-frame comprises a first leg extending towards the heel region and a second leg extending away from the heel region,
- wherein the first leg is configured to extend along the first recess and the second leg is configured to extend along the second recess.
