Abstract
Feline reactant substance-infused infused fibers are made into or incorporated into feline furniture posts and other items to foster an interaction and/or anxiety reduction with a cat. The infusion of the fibers results in an ongoing cat attractant/reactant and does not require reapplication of catnip or calming herbs to any surface of an item while in service.

A feline furniture item, comprising:
- a structure;
- and
- a cover coupled to the structure, the cover comprising one or more fibers infused with a feline reactant substance.
A method of producing a feline furniture item, the method comprising:
- infusing a fiber with a feline reactant substance;
- forming the infused fiber into a cover;
- and
- coupling the cover onto a structure to form a cat scratching surface.
