A self-regulating heating cable and production methods are provided. The self-regulating heating cable includes a conductive bus-frame and a ceramic positive temperature coefficient (PTC) chip. The conductive bus-frame includes a first frame element with a first stem and a first chip tab integral with and extending outward from the first stem, and a second frame element parallel to the first frame element and including a second stem and a second chip tab integral with and extending outward from the second stem. The PTC chip is disposed between and retained by the first chip tab and the second chip tab to create an electrical pathway from the first frame element through the first chip tab, the PTC chip, and the second chip tab to the second frame element.
