A method for migrating nodes in a distributed network to a centralized network

A bridge device for use to migrate two or more nodes in a distributed wireless network to a centralized wireless network, the bridge device comprising:

• a communication interface configured to receive configuration information about the distributed wireless network from another bridge device in the distributed wireless network;
• a radio configured to:
• access the distributed wireless network based on the received configuration information;
• o query the two or more nodes in the distributed wireless network to collect topology information among the two or more nodes ;
• a controller configured to:
• determine a sequence list for requesting the two or more nodes to join the centralized wireless network based on the topology information;
• wherein the radio is further configured to inform the two or more nodes to join the centralized wireless network according to the sequence list;
• wherein the sequence list is arranged to allow a first node out of the two or more nodes to join the centralized wireless network earlier than a second node out of the two or more nodes, when the first node received a message from the other bridge device via a relay of the second node in the distributed wireless network.
