In-sequence reception of multiple pdu sets in the downlink

Abstract

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may be configured to receive configuration information indicating a re-ordering timer duration, receive a first plurality of packet data units (PDUs) of a first PDU set, determine an order of the first plurality of PDUs based on respective sequence numbers (SNs) associated with the first plurality of PDUs, and/or receive a second plurality of PDUs of a second PDU set. On condition that there is a SN gap between a last PDU of the first PDU set and a first PDU of the second PDU set, the WTRU may be further configured to suspend re-ordering of the first plurality of PDUs, set a re-ordering timer to the indicated re-ordering timer duration and start the re-ordering timer, and/or receive a set of one or more additional PDUs while the re-ordering timer is running.
