Optical amplification relay device, optical transmission system and optical amplification relay method

An optical transmission system comprising:

• a gain equalizer that adjusts a power spectrum of an optical signal based on an adjustment spectrum having characteristics complementary to characteristics of a gain spectrum;
• an amplifier that amplifies the power spectrum adjusted based on the adjustment spectrum based on the gain spectrum;
• and
• a receiver that performs demodulation processing on the optical signal or phase conjugate light of the amplified power spectrum.

An optical amplified repeating method executed by an optical transmission system, the method comprising:

• adjusting a power spectrum of an optical signal based on an adjustment spectrum having characteristics complementary to characteristics of a gain spectrum;
• amplifying the power spectrum adjusted based on the adjustment spectrum based on the gain spectrum;
• and
• performing demodulation processing on the optical signal or phase conjugate light of the amplified power spectrum.
