Abstract
A codeword determination method for 8 antenna ports multiple antenna panels for uplink multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmission, includes: determining at least one of a candidate codebook for 4 antenna ports or a candidate codebook for 2 antenna ports for the uplink MIMO transmission; determining panel configuration information for the 8 antenna ports multiple antenna panels for the uplink MIMO transmission; and determining a codeword for L layers of the 8 antenna ports multiple antenna panels based on the candidate codebook(s) and the panel configuration information, where L is less than or equal to 8.

A codeword determination method for 8 antenna ports multiple antenna panels for uplink multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmission, comprising:
- determining at least one of a candidate codebook for 4 antenna ports or a candidate codebook for 2 antenna ports for the uplink MIMO transmission;
- determining panel configuration information for the 8 antenna ports multiple antenna panels for the uplink MIMO transmission;
- and
- determining a codeword for L layers of the 8 antenna ports multiple antenna panels based on the candidate codebook(s) and the panel configuration information, where L is less than or equal to 8.

A communication device, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory storing a computer program executable by the processor,
- wherein the processor is configured to:
- determine at least one of a candidate codebook for 4 antenna ports or a candidate codebook for 2 antenna ports for uplink MIMO transmission;
- determine panel configuration information for an 8 antenna ports multiple antenna panels for the uplink MIMO transmission;
- and
- determine a codeword for L layers of the 8 antenna ports multiple antenna panels based on the candidate codebook(s) and the panel configuration information, where L is less than or equal to 8.

A computer readable storage medium storing instructions, wherein when the instructions are executed by a processor, the processor is caused to perform:
- determining at least one of a candidate codebook for 4 antenna ports or a candidate codebook for 2 antenna ports for uplink MIMO transmission;
- determining panel configuration information for an 8 antenna ports multiple antenna panels for the uplink MIMO transmission;
- and
- determining a codeword for L layers of the 8 antenna ports multiple antenna panels based on the candidate codebook(s) and the panel configuration information, where L is less than or equal to 8.
