Contact element and plug device, as well as manufacturing method and use

A plug device comprising:

• at least one contact element for a plug device, each of the at least one contact element including a core made of a first electrically conductive material, a shell made of a second electrically conductive material, and a coating made of a third electrically conductive material, the shell at least partially surrounds the core from the outside, the coating is applied at least partially to the outside of the shell, wherein the first material has at least one of a lower density and/or a higher tensile strength than the second material, and wherein the third material differs from the first material and from the second material;
• and
• a housing in which the at least one contact element is held.
