Abstract
A protection for a bonding point between a bonding conductor and a conducting part includes a cover configured for at least partially surrounding the bonding point. The cover has a first end portion that includes a first passage for the bonding conductor and a second end portion that includes a second passage for a conductor forming the bonding point and a boundary that is configured to sealingly contact the conducting part. The protection further includes mechanical coupling means for coupling the cover to the bonding point. The boundary sealingly contacts the conducting part when the cover is coupled to the bonding point via the mechanical coupling means.

A protector for protecting a mechanical connection between a first electrical conductor and a second electrical conductor at a connecting bonding point, the protector comprising:
- a cover configured to enclose at least partially the mechanical connection at the connecting bonding point when the first and second electrical conductors are mechanically coupled, said cover comprising:
- a first end portion comprising a first passage for the first electrical conductor;
- and
- a second end portion having a boundary configured for to contact the second electrical conductor at least in part sealingly, when the cover is enclosing at least partially the mechanical connection;
- and
- mechanical coupling means configured to mechanically couple the cover to the mechanical connection.
