Abstract
A rechargeable battery and a battery pack including the same are disclosed. A rechargeable battery includes a case, an electrode assembly accommodated in the case, a cap plate facing the electrode assembly, and a first vent member on the cap plate, and the first vent member is coupled to the cap plate in a snap-fit manner.

A rechargeable battery comprising:
- a case;
- an electrode assembly accommodated in the case;
- a cap plate facing the electrode assembly;

- a first vent member on the cap plate,
- wherein the first vent member is coupled to the cap plate in a snap-fit manner.
