Abstract
A measuring apparatus for a secondary battery includes a sensing unit configured to measures an object, and a housing configured to houses the object therein, and defining an opening so that the object can be detected by the sensing unit, wherein the sensing unit is disposed outside the housing to reduce or prevent foreign matters inside the housing from being transferred to the sensing unit.

A measuring apparatus for a secondary battery comprising:
- a sensing unit configured to measures an object;
- and
- a housing configured to houses the object therein, and defining an opening so that the object can be detected by the sensing unit,
- wherein the sensing unit is disposed outside the housing to reduce or prevent foreign matters inside the housing from being transferred to the sensing unit.

- further comprising a suction unit configured to suctions air containing foreign matter inside the housing,
- wherein the suction unit is integrated into the housing, or is connected to a suction hole and a pipe or tube included in the housing.
