Battery

A battery, comprising:

• an electrode group in which a band-shaped positive electrode plate and a band-shaped negative electrode plate are wound with a separator interposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate;
• an electrolyte;
• and
• an outer housing body, wherein
• at least one electrode plate of the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate
• has a mixture layer formed on a band-shaped electrode core, and includes, in a width direction of the electrode plate corresponding to a winding axis direction of the electrode group, a current collecting tab connected to one end side of the electrode core and within a range that does not exceed a center of the electrode plate, and a dummy tab connected to the other end side of the electrode core and within a range that does not exceed the center of the electrode plate, and
• the dummy tab is disposed to overlap with at least a part of the current collecting tab when the electrode plate is viewed in the width direction.
