Abstract
A multilayer ceramic capacitor includes a multilayer body including dielectric layers and inner electrode layers stacked in a stacking direction, and first and second outer electrodes each including a plating layer including a cushion portion protruding from a first principal surface of the multilayer body and a joint portion protruding from a second principal surface of the multilayer body. A maximum distance in the laminating direction by which the cushion portion protrudes from the first principal surface of the multilayer body is longer than a maximum distance in the laminating direction by which the joint portion protrudes from the second principal surface of the multilayer body.
