Electronic shelf label and controlling method therefor

An electronic price indicator comprising:

• a display displaying product information;
• a first communication module configured to communicate with a user terminal;
• a second communication module configured to communicate with the user terminal;
• and
• a processor configured to control the display to display the product information received from the user terminal through the second communication module,
• wherein the processor is further configured to
• release a sleep mode when receiving an interrupt from the user terminal through the first communication module, and
• perform communication through the second communication module with the user terminal by initiating a scan for a predetermined period of time to receive an advertising signal from the user terminal,
• wherein the first communication module is different from the second communication module.

A control method of an electronic price indicator, the control method comprising:

• releasing a sleep mode when receiving an interrupt from a user terminal through a first communication module;
• initiating a scan for a predetermined period of time to receive an advertising signal from the user terminal;
• and
• performing communication with the user terminal through the second communication module,
• wherein the first communication module is different from the second communication module.
