Abstract
A mechanism for processing video data is disclosed. The mechanism includes determining to use only a luma channel to convey displacement data when the displacement data is coded in a 4:4:4 video format. A conversion is performed between a visual media data and a bitstream based on the displacement data.
Claims20
A method for processing media data, comprising:
- determining to use only a luma channel of a video to convey first displacement data when a color format for coding the first displacement data is a 4:4:4 color format, wherein the first displacement data is represented as the video;
- and
- performing a conversion between the video and a bitstream based on the determining.
An apparatus for processing media data comprising a processor and a non-transitory memory with instructions thereon, wherein the instructions upon execution by the processor, cause the processor to:
- determine to use only a luma channel of a video to convey first displacement data when a color format for coding the first displacement data is a 4:4:4 color format, wherein the first displacement data is represented as the video;
- and
- perform a conversion between the video and a bitstream based on the determination.
A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a bitstream of a video which is generated by a method performed by a video processing apparatus, wherein the method comprises:
- determining to use only a luma channel of the video to convey first displacement data when a color format for coding the first displacement data is a 4:4:4 color format, wherein the first displacement data is represented as the video;
- and
- generating the bitstream based on the determining.
