Systems, methods, and computer readable medium are disclosed for automated generation of a software application on a software platform providing a plurality of framework elements providing available capabilities. Automated generation of a software application includes receiving a request for a desired functionality; identifying desired capabilities for fulfilling the desired functionality; mapping the available capabilities to the desired capabilities; using the mapping to select a subset of framework elements providing capabilities for fulfilling some of the desired functionality; identifying a capability unfulfillable by the available framework elements; generating a new framework element providing the unfulfillable capability; constructing a manifest specifying the new framework element and the subset; determining instructions for connecting the new framework element and the subset; including the instructions in the manifest; and using the manifest to interconnect the subset with the new framework element to construct the software application providing the desired functionality.
