Abstract
A media detection apparatus includes: a stiffness sensor that measures stiffness of a sheet-like medium; and a hardware processor that determines, based on the measured stiffness, whether the medium is a medium in which a plurality of materials is laminated.

A media detection apparatus comprising:
- a stiffness sensor that measures stiffness of a sheet-like medium;
- and
- a hardware processor that determines, based on the measured stiffness, whether the medium is a medium in which a plurality of materials is laminated.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program, the program causing a computer to determine, based on data acquired from a stiffness sensor, whether a medium is a medium in which a plurality of materials is laminated.
