Abstract

A two-component developer containing a toner and a magnetic carrier, the toner containing a toner particle; the toner particle containing: a binder resin; and a resin bearing an oxazoline group at a surface of the toner particle, the magnetic carrier containing: a magnetic carrier core particle; and a resin coat layer formed on a surface of the magnetic carrier core particle, the resin coat layer containing: a silicone resin; and a barium titanate particle, wherein a content of the barium titanate particle in the resin coat layer is 2 to 32 mass %, based on a mass of the resin coat layer, and a value (Ti/Ba) of a ratio of an abundance ratio (atomic %) of titanium elements to an abundance ratio (atomic %) of barium elements, as determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy of a surface of the magnetic carrier, is 2.0 to 20.0.
