Abstract
A camera assembly for pole positioning includes two camera housings, each with a front and rear side. The first camera is attached to the front of the first housing, and the second camera is attached to the front of the second housing, both designed to capture 180-degree views. A first bracket is connected to the rear of the first housing, and a second bracket is connected to the rear of the second housing. These brackets can be joined around the pole, aligning the cameras opposite each other to create a 360-degree view.
Claims20
A camera assembly for being positioned along a pole, comprising:
- a first camera housing and a second camera housing each having a front side and a rear side;
- a first camera coupled to the front side of the first camera housing and configured to record a 180 degree view;
- a second camera coupled to the front side of the second camera housing and configured to record a 180 degree view;
- a first bracket having a front surface coupled to the rear side of the first camera housing, and having a rear surface opposite the front surface;
- a second bracket having a front surface coupled to the rear side of the second camera housing, and having a rear surface opposite the front surface;
- and
- the rear surfaces of the first and second brackets connectable to one another about the pole such that the first and second cameras are oriented opposite one another to generate a 360 degree view.
A method for assembling a camera assembly, comprising:
- providing a first camera housing and a second camera housing each having a front side and a rear side, with a first camera coupled to the front side of the first camera housing and a second camera coupled to the front side of the second camera housing, wherein each of the first and second cameras are configured to record a 180 degree view;
- providing a first bracket and a second bracket, where each of the first and second brackets have a front surface and a rear surface opposite the front surface;
- coupling the front surface of the first bracket to the rear side of the first camera housing;
- coupling the front surface of the second bracket to the rear side of the second camera housing;
- and
- positioning the rear surfaces of the first and second brackets against each other about the pole, and coupling the first and second brackets to one another to fix the first and second brackets to the pole and to permit the first and second cameras to generate a 360 degree view together.
