Abstract
Line pattern projectors may include metasurface devices. In one particular example, a line pattern projector includes: a light source configured to output light; and a metasurface device separated from the light source by a distance, where the metasurface device is configured to receive the output light from the light source and transform the light into a line pattern.

A line pattern projector comprising:
- a light source configured to output light;
- and
- a metasurface device separated from the light source by a distance,
- wherein the metasurface device is configured to receive the output light from the light source and transform the light into a line pattern.
