Abstract
Stun guns including a bypass circuit and one or more manually reflex buttons or switches a pressure sensitive reflex assembly and methods for making and using same, wherein the reflex button or switch or pressure sensitive reflex assembly coupled to the bypass circuit allows a current discharge immediately if the user is unable or forgets to turn on the stun gun.

An apparatus comprising:
- a stun gun including:
- a ON/OFF button or switch,
- two electrodes disposed on a top of the stun gun, each of the electrodes includes a body and a tip,
- a transformer disposed in an interior of the stun gun,
- a power supply disposed in the interior of the stun gun,
- one or more bypass buttons or switches disposed on one or both long side of a recess disposed on the top of the stun gun,
- a main circuit comprising wires or cables interconnecting the ON/OFF button or
- switch, the two electrodes, the transformer and the power supply, and
- a bypass circuit comprising wires or cables interconnecting the one or more bypass
- buttons or switches to the transformer and the power supply bypassing the ON/OFF button or switch,
- wherein when the one or more bypass buttons or switches are depressed, the bypass circuit causes an immediate discharge of the transformer bypassing the ON/OFF button or switch.

- a housing including:
- a top, a bottom, two short sides, two long sides, and an interior,
- a recess disposed on the top of the housing, the recess having two long sides and two short sides,
- two electrodes or prongs disposed on the top on either side of the recess, each of the electrodes or prongs includes a body and a tip,
- an ON/OFF button or switch disposed on an outside or bottom of the housing,
- a transformer disposed in an interior of the housing,
- a power supply in an interior of the housing,
- one or more bypass buttons or switches disposed in a center of the recess on one or both of the short sides of the recess or on one or both of either the two long side or the short sides of the housing,
- a main circuit disposed in the interior and comprising wires or cables interconnecting the ON/OFF button or switch, the two electrodes, the transformer and the power supply, and
- a bypass circuit disposed in the interior and comprising wires or cables interconnecting the one or more bypass buttons or switches to the transformer and the power supply bypassing the ON/OFF button or switch,
- wherein when the one or more bypass buttons or switches are depressed, then the bypass circuit causes an immediate discharge of the transformer bypassing the ON/OFF button or switch.

- a stun gun including:

- a recess disposed on the top of the housing, the recess having two long sides and two short sides,

- a bypass circuit disposed in the interior and comprising wires or cables interconnecting the one or more bypass buttons or switches to the transformer and the power supply bypassing the ON/OFF button or switch;
- a holster including:
- a holster housing comprising:
- an opened top,
- a closed bottom,
- two long sides,
- two short sides, and
- a safety member assembly,
- wherein the holster is designed to receive the stun gun top side down so that the safety member receiving assembly receives and engages the safety member assembly deactivating the stun gun,
- wherein when the stun gun is removed from the holster, the stun gun is activated, and
- wherein when the one or more bypass buttons or switches are depressed, then the bypass circuit causes an immediate discharge of the transformer bypassing the ON/OFF button or switch.
