• the device further comprises, on a light extraction side of the light emitting element, an optical member where light transmitted through the lens enters,
• an upper surface of the lens has a convex shape toward the optical member,
• in an orthogonal projection onto the main surface, a length of the optical member in a first direction is shorter than a length of the optical member in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and
• in an orthogonal projection onto the main surface, a length of the light emitting portion in the first direction is shorter than a length of the light emitting portion in the second direction.

Alight emitting device comprising:

• a substrate, and a plurality of light emitting elements arranged on a main surface of the substrate, each of which includes one light emitting portion and one lens arranged to correspond to the light emitting portion,
• wherein
• in an orthogonal projection onto the main surface,
• a center of the light emitting portion is arranged to overlap the corresponding lens,
• a length of the light emitting portion in a first direction is shorter than a length of the light emitting portion in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and
• in a case where d1 represents a shortest distance between centers of light emitting portions arranged in light emitting elements adjacent to each other among the plurality of light emitting elements, and d2 represents a longest distance from a center in the lens to an outer edge of the lens, a relationship of

• is satisfied.
