Abstract
A metal end cap seal including metal end caps bonded to a central elastomer component is provided. In one embodiment, a metal end cap seal includes two metal end caps and a central elastomer component. The central elastomer component can be bonded to the metal end caps. The elastomer can include FFKM. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

A system, comprising:
- an end cap seal comprising:
- a seal body extending around a central axis, wherein the seal body comprises an elastomer;
- a first end cap extending around the central axis, wherein the first end cap is coupled to the seal body;
- and
- a second end cap extending around the central axis, wherein the second end cap is coupled to the seal body, wherein the end cap seal has at least one of:
- a maximum strain of the end cap seal is offset away from the first and second end caps;
- or
- a strain profile along a bond interface between the seal body and each of the first and second end caps has a peak strain that is less than 50% greater than an average strain along the bond interface.

A method, comprising:
- coupling a first end cap to a seal body of an end cap seal, wherein the seal body extends around a central axis and comprises an elastomer, and the first end cap extends around the central axis;
- and
- coupling a second end cap to the seal body of the end cap seal, wherein the second end cap extends around the central axis, wherein the end cap seal has at least one of:
- a maximum strain of the end cap seal is offset away from the first and second end caps;
- or
- a strain profile along a bond interface between the seal body and each of the first and second end caps has a peak strain that is less than 50% greater than an average strain along the bond interface.
