Abstract

A scroll compressor is disclosed. In the scroll compressor, an oil supply groove is formed between a plurality of first key grooves in a main frame. The oil supply groove may be formed between an outer circumferential surface of a scroll support portion and a virtual circle passing through a radial center of the first key groove. Accordingly, an oil introduced to the periphery of an Oldham ring is collected in the oil supply groove to quickly flow into the first key groove, so that friction loss and/or abrasion between the first key groove and a first key inserted into the first key groove can be effectively suppressed. This effect can appear even during initial start-up and/or a restriction operation in a scroll compressor of a low pressure type and an upper compression type.

Dependent claims

A scroll compressor comprising:

a casing;
an orbiting scroll coupled to a rotary shaft inside the casing to perform an orbiting motion;
a non-orbiting scroll forming a compression chamber together with the orbiting scroll;
a main frame fixed to the casing in an internal space of the casing, comprising a scroll support portion formed in an annular shape in a central portion thereof, and comprising an Oldham ring support portion formed at an outer circumferential side of the scroll support portion;
and
an Oldham ring supported by the Oldham ring support portion to be located between the main frame and the orbiting scroll,
wherein a plurality of first key grooves into which first keys of the Oldham ring are respectively inserted are formed along a circumferential direction at a predetermined interval in the main frame, and an oil supply groove is formed between the plurality of first key grooves, and
wherein the oil supply groove is formed between an outer circumferential surface of the scroll support portion and a virtual circle passing through a radial center of the first key groove.
