An example of a Hydrokinetic energy process and system that comprises a suitable size body of water, giving the body of water sufficient depth and breadth. A distribution of wave energy converting devices placed in, on or around that body of water and one or more of wave energy making devices located in, on or around the body of water. The wave energy converting devices are arranged to be activated upon receiving a flow of man-made waves from the wave energy making devices. The action of the wave energy making devices causes a wave amplitude of sufficient size to activate the wave energy converting devices to produce electricity. The wave energy converting devices are affected to move a sufficient distance to achieve a useful outcome, such as powering the wave energy making devices, as well as supplying electricity to the grid simultaneously, for example. This system is devised to supply electricity to the grid and/or in a more local and self-sufficient manner.
A hydrokinetic process and system comprising:
The system in claim 9, wherein the system can be installed next to a river, not necessarily above, which would eliminate the need for damming.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
