Abstract
A door system comprising a door controllably shiftable between open and closed states, at least one outside sensor for sensing presence of an individual in an outside space with respect to the door, at least one inside sensor for sensing presence of an individual in an inside space with respect to the door, at least one doorway sensor for sensing presence in a passage closeable by the door, and a control unit for shifting the door between the open and closed states based on an indication received from at least one of said sensors.

A door system comprising:
- a door controllably shiftable between open and closed states,
- at least one outside sensor for sensing presence of an individual in an outside space with respect to said door,
- at least one inside sensor for sensing presence of an individual in an inside space with respect to said door,
- at least one doorway sensor for sensing presence in a passage closeable by said door, and
- a control unit for shifting said door between said open and closed states based on an indication received from at least one of said sensors.

A method of operating a door system configured to controllably change a door between open and closed states thereof, the method comprising receiving signal from a doorway sensor indicative of presence of an individual in a passage closeable by said door followed by signal from an inside sensor indicative of presence of an individual in an inside space with respect to said door, and responsively issuing a door close and/or door lock signal for causing closure and/or locking of said door.
