• wherein a contactless operating action of an operator located outside the motor vehicle is detected by the sensor assembly in a detection routine and the operating action is classified in a classification routine as an invalid operating action or valid operating action, wherein in the case of an invalid operating action, it is discarded and in the case of a valid operating action, a motorized opening procedure or a motorized closing procedure of the hatch assembly by the drive assembly is triggered,
• wherein a following action of the operator chronologically following the operating action is detected by the sensor assembly in the detection routine and that the operating action is classified in consideration of the following action in the classification routine.
