The system comprises a universal base plate configured to be mounted to the door frame, wherein the base plate includes at least one first mounting point and at least one second mounting point; and an electric strike module configured to receive the door latch. When the door latch is in a first position relative to the door frame in the door closed position, the electric strike module is attached to the at least one first mounting point.
