The washing machine appliance includes a cabinet assembly comprising a plurality of spring support brackets coupled to a top, a front, and a rear of a plurality of side panels. The plurality of spring support brackets are symmetric about a transverse plane.

A washing machine appliance, defining a mutually orthogonal vertical direction, lateral direction, and transverse direction, the washing machine appliance comprising:
- a cabinet assembly defining a cabinet aperture, the cabinet assembly comprising:
- a plurality of spring support brackets permanently fastened to a top of a plurality of side panels, a front of the plurality of side panels, and a rear of the plurality of side panels, wherein the plurality of spring support brackets are symmetric about a transverse plane;
- and
- a wash tub suspended within the cabinet assembly by a suspension assembly.
A cabinet assembly for a washing machine appliance defining a cabinet aperture and a mutually orthogonal vertical direction, lateral direction, and transverse direction, the cabinet assembly comprising:
- a plurality of spring support brackets permanently fastened to a top of a plurality of side panels, a front of the plurality of side panels, and a rear of the plurality of side panels, wherein the plurality of spring support brackets are symmetric about a transverse plane.
