Abstract
Disclosed is a thermoset composition comprising (a) a film-forming component comprising a reaction product of reactants comprising a phenol-containing compound and a phthalonitrile-containing compound and (b) a blowing agent comprising eumelanin and/or a hydrophilic lignin. Also disclosed are methods of forming the thermoset compositions. Also disclosed are substrates comprising a coating formed from the thermoset compositions. Also disclosed are articles formed from the thermoset compositions.

A thermoset composition, comprising:
- a film-forming component comprising a reaction product of reactants comprising a phenol-containing compound and a phthalonitrile-containing compound;
- and
- a blowing agent comprising eumelanin and/or a hydrophilic lignin.
