Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide a polypropylene foam molded body having higher heat resistance. The present invention relates to carbon-component-containing composite resin particles comprising a polypropylene-based resin, a polyethylene-based resin, a carbon component, and a polystyrene-based resin, wherein the ratio of the total mass content of the polypropylene-based resin, the polyethylene-based resin, and the carbon component to the mass content of the polystyrene-based resin ranges from 5:95 to 50:50, and the composite resin particles have a surface absorbance ratio within a range of 1.0 to 5.0.

Carbon-component-containing composite resin particles comprising a polypropylene-based resin, a polyethylene-based resin, a carbon component, and a polystyrene-based resin,
- wherein the ratio of the total mass content of the polypropylene-based resin, the polyethylene-based resin, and the carbon component to the mass content of the polystyrene-based resin ranges from 5:95 to 50:50, and
- the composite resin particles have a surface absorbance ratio that is determined by the following method and that falls within a range of 1.0 to 5.0:
- Surface absorbance ratio (RS):
- absorbance values at 1380 cm−1 (D1380) and 698 cm−1 (D698) are calculated from an infrared absorption spectrum obtained by analyzing a surface of the composite resin particles by ATR infrared spectroscopy and used in the formula D698/D1380 to obtain a value as the surface absorbance ratio.
A method for producing carbon-component-containing composite resin particles for producing an in-mold foam molded body, the composite resin particles comprising a polypropylene-based resin, a polyethylene-based resin, a carbon component, and a polystyrene-based resin, the method comprising:
- step (A) of impregnating seed particles containing a polypropylene-based resin, a polyethylene-based resin, and a carbon component with a styrene-based monomer and polymerizing the styrene-based monomer to obtain carbon-component-containing composite resin particles,
- wherein in step (A), the styrene-based monomer is added at a rate of 0.03 parts by weight/second or less per 100 parts by weight of the seed particles in the presence of a water-soluble polymerization inhibitor.
