Wheel braking mechanism, frame, and child carrier

A wheel braking mechanism, comprising:

• a wheel base housing assembly, a side wall of the wheel base housing assembly being provided with a sliding hole;
• a braking assembly mounted in the wheel base housing assembly;
• a braking pin connected to the braking assembly, the braking pin being configured to slide in the sliding hole between a locking position and an unlocking position;
• and
• a dust shield engaged with the braking pin;
• wherein
• the dust shield shields the sliding hole when the braking pin is in the locking position,
• the dust shield shields the sliding hole when the braking pin is in the unlocking position,
• the dust shield shields the sliding hole for an entirety of a sliding movement of the braking pin in the sliding hole from the locking position to the unlocking position,
• the dust shield shields the sliding hole for an entirety of a sliding movement of the braking pin in the sliding hole from the unlocking position to the locking position, and
• shielding of the sliding hole by the dust shield prevents exposure of the sliding hole to an environment external to the wheel base housing assembly.
