Abstract
A brake assembly may include a brake pedal shaft. The brake assembly may include a brake booster assembly including a pushrod slidably received in a body, the pushrod including a clevis having a first clevis arm and a second clevis arm, the brake pedal shaft to move the pushrod into the body. The brake assembly may include a clip including a first clip arm and a second clip arm, the first clip arm positioned between the first clevis arm and the brake pedal shaft, the second clip arm positioned between the second clevis arm and the brake pedal shaft, the clip to mitigate a noise caused by an interaction between the clevis and the brake pedal shaft during operation of the brake assembly.
Claims13
A brake assembly, comprising:
- a brake pedal shaft defining a shaft aperture;
- a brake booster assembly including a pushrod slidably received in a body, the pushrod including a clevis having a first clevis arm and a second clevis arm, the brake pedal shaft to move the pushrod into the body, the first clevis arm defining a first clevis aperture, the second clevis arm defining a second clevis aperture;
- and
- a clip including a first clip arm defining a first clip aperture and a second clip arm defining a second clip aperture, the first clip arm positioned between the first clevis arm and the brake pedal shaft, the second clip arm positioned between the second clevis arm and the brake pedal shaft, the clip to mitigate a noise caused by an interaction between the clevis and the brake pedal shaft during operation of the brake assembly;
- a pin positioned within the first clevis aperture, the first clip aperture, the shaft aperture, the second clip aperture, and the second clevis aperture, the pin to couple the brake pedal shaft with the clevis with the clip disposed therebetween;
- and
- a sleeve extending through the shaft aperture, the sleeve including a first sleeve end and a second sleeve end, the first sleeve end positioned within the first clip aperture, the second sleeve end positioned within the second clip aperture.
