Abstract

The present invention relates to a feed apparatus (13) for feeding food products to a slicing station (6) of a food slicing machine (5), comprising a drive (18) having a drive shaft (19) adapted to rotate about a drive shaft axis (300), a traction roller (17) arranged to rotate about a traction roller axis (210), wherein the traction roller (17) is configured to contact a food product, in particular an upper surface of said food product, and to support conveying said food product towards the slicing station (6), a transmission (20) configured to transmit a rotation of the drive shaft (19) to the traction roller (17), wherein the drive shaft axis (300) of the drive shaft (19) is non-parallel to the traction roller axis (210) of the traction roller (17) and wherein the traction roller, the drive and the drive shaft are mounted on a base member. The invention further relates to a food slicing machine (5) for slicing food products.
