Abstract
A box cutter device for cutting and marking an object includes a blade positioned within a housing. Rotation of the blade is designed to facilitate a user in cutting an object. The blade is selectively positionable in a stored position and an exposed position. An axle coupled to the blade is movably positioned within the housing to move the blade between the stored position and the exposed position. A handle is coupled to the housing to facilitate the user in manipulating the blade to cut the object while the blade is in the exposed position. A writing member is coupled the handle to facilitate the user in marking the object. An actuator is coupled to the handle to facilitate the user in moving the blade between the stored position and the exposed position while the user is holding the handle.
