Abstract
A method of manufacturing a press-formed product is provided. The method of the present disclosure includes obtaining a tailored blank by welding a first steel plate and a second steel plate that are different in at least strength and plate thickness, and subjecting the tailored blank to press working to provide a stretch-flange shape. The press-working includes holding the tailored blank between a first die and a pad, bending the tailored blank with a second die, and causing the second die to initially contact the first steel plate and subsequently contact the second steel plate in the bending to form a vertical wall. The first steel plate has a low strength in the tailored blank.
Claims6
A method of manufacturing a press-formed product, the method comprising:
- obtaining a tailored blank by welding a first steel plate and a second steel plate that are different in at least strength and plate thickness;
- and
- subjecting the tailored blank to press working to provide a stretch-flange shape;
- the subjecting the tailored blank to press working to provide a stretch-flange shape including:
- holding the tailored blank between a first die and a pad;
- bending the tailored blank with a second die;
- and
- causing the second die to initially contact the first steel plate and subsequently contact the second steel plate in the bending to form a vertical wall, the first steel plate having a low strength in the tailored blank.
