Efficient atmospheric water generation systems and methods with data center integration

A data center facility, comprising:

• an integrated system including a gas-fired generator configured to supply electrical power to the data center facility;
• an absorption cooling subsystem thermally coupled to a hot exhaust stream of the gas-fired generator;
• a desiccant-based water harvesting subsystem receiving at least a portion of the hot exhaust stream;
• and a carbon capture subsystem downstream of the absorption cooling subsystem and the desiccant-based water harvesting subsystem,
• wherein the data center facility is characterized by a tri-generation plus configuration providing on-site fuel-driven generation, absorption cooling, and water production in one system, and wherein the data center facility draws significantly less utility water and emits significantly less CO₂ than a conventional data center of equivalent IT load.

An integrated data center and atmospheric water generation system, comprising:

• a data center housing computing equipment;
• an atmospheric water generation (AWG) system comprising:
• a desiccant-based moisture absorption unit configured to extract moisture from air, and
• a water separation unit configured to separate water from a moisture-laden desiccant;
• wherein exhaust air from the data center is directed as input to the desiccant-based moisture absorption unit of the AWG system;
• a liquid cooling system for the data center, comprising a liquid coolant circulated to absorb heat from the computing equipment;
• and
• a heat exchanger coupled between the liquid cooling system and the water separation unit of the AWG system, configured to transfer heat from the liquid coolant, after it has absorbed heat within the data center, to heat the moisture-laden desiccant in the water separation unit, thereby facilitating water extraction from the moisture-laden desiccant.
