Injectable suspension or emulsion of coated magnetite nanoparticles for use in the treatment of solid tumors

An injectable composition for percutaneous administration in a solid tumor via direct injection in the tumor mass, consisting in a suspension or emulsion of magnetite nanoparticles coated with an organic layer, selected between:

• A) a suspension in water added with a surfactant and one or more between a buffer system and a stabilizer;
• and
• B) a water-based lipidic suspension or emulsion, added with one or more components selected among egg phosphatide, medium chain triglycerides, long chain triglycerides, glycerol, linoleic acid, cholesterol, and sodium oleate,
• said injectable composition having the following features:
• it is sterile and pyrogen-free;
• it is isotonic with bodily fluids;
• the pH of the injectable compositions is between 7.8 and 8.2;
• the concentration of magnetite nanoparticles in the injectable compositions in the range 10-30 mM.
