Abstract
This disclosure relates in some aspects to empathogenic botanical formulations comprising kanna (plant species of the Mesembryanthemum or Sceletium genus), methods of producing such formulations and methods of using such formulations. In some aspects, disclosed formulations produce empathogenic effects in individuals, as well as enhance mood, focus, and energy, and reduce stress and anxiety.

An empathogenic botanical formulation, comprising:
- i. a kanna composition comprising:
- a. a first kanna extract;
- b. a second kanna extract;
- and
- c. a kanna plant powder;
- ii. a synergistic plant composition;
- and
- iii. a binding composition.
An empathogenic botanical formulation, comprising:
- i. a kanna composition comprising:
- a. a first kanna extract;
- b. a second kanna extract;
- and
- c. a kanna plant powder;
- ii. a synergistic plant composition;
- iii. a binding composition;
- iv. at least one flavoring agent;
- and
- v. at least one coloring agent.
An empathogenic botanical formulation, comprising:
- i. a kanna composition comprising:
- a. a first kanna extract;
- b. a second kanna extract;
- and
- c. a kanna plant powder;
- and
- ii. a synergistic plant composition comprising:
- a. Acacia senegal plant powder;
- b. Acmella oleracea plant powder;
- and
- c. any one or more of Acacia senegal plant material, Acmella oleracea plant material, Saussurea involucrata plant material, Lavandula angustifolia plant material, Mentha spicata extract, Zingiber officinale plant material, and Rosa sp. plant material.
An empathogenic botanical formulation, comprising:
- i. a kanna composition comprising:
- a. a first kanna extract;
- b. a second kanna extract;
- and
- c. a kanna plant powder;
- ii. a synergistic plant composition;
- and
- iii. a binding composition comprising:
- a. guar gum;
- b. vegetable glycerin;
- and
- c. distilled water.
An empathogenic botanical formulation, comprising:
- i. a kanna composition comprising:
- a. a first kanna extract;
- b. a second kanna extract;
- and
- c. a kanna plant powder;
- ii. a synergistic plant composition comprising:
- a. Acacia senegal plant powder;
- b. Acmella oleracea plant powder;
- and
- c. any one or more of Acacia senegal plant material, Acmella oleracea plant material, Saussurea involucrata plant material, Lavandula angustifolia plant material, Mentha spicata extract, Zingiber officinale plant material, and Rosa sp. plant material;
- and
- iii. a binding composition comprising:
- a. guar gum;
- b. vegetable glycerin;
- and
- c. distilled water.
