Abstract
Various examples disclosed relate to a cosmetic formulation including less than about 0.6 wt % gellant, but maintains a minimum viscosity of at least 2,000 cPs and is stable for up to four weeks after manufacture. The present disclosure provides a formulation having a gellant including both a polyacrylate and xanthan gum, an emulsifier capable of forming a water-in-oil formulation, one or more skin conditioning agents configured to treat a user's skin, and one or more solvents.
Claims18
A cosmetic formulation comprising:
- a gellant comprising a sodium polyacrylate and xanthan gum, wherein the gellant comprises less than about 0.9 wt % total of the formulation;
- between about 0.10 wt % to about 1.0 wt % of an emulsifier capable of forming a water-in-oil formulation, wherein the emulsifier is potassium cetyl phosphate;
- one or more active agents configured to treat a user's skin;
- and
- one or more solvents;
- wherein the formulation has a minimum viscosity of about 2,500 cPs 24 hours after manufacture, and
