Preoperative method for manufacturing an arthrodesis device

A preoperative method for manufacturing a patient-specific arthrodesis device, the device comprising a plurality of real rods and at least one real sleeve, the method comprising:

• a step of constructing a digital image of at least a portion of a spinal column of the patient, by means of a medical imaging apparatus;
• a step of correcting the digital image, to form a corrected digital image;
• a design step, based on the corrected digital image, of a virtual arthrodesis device comprising a plurality of virtual rods and at least one virtual sleeve, the virtual rods being assembled via the at least one virtual sleeve, the design step being computer-aided;
• a providing step of the plurality of real rods and of the at least one real sleeve;
• a manufacturing step of the arthrodesis device, each real rod being associated with one of the virtual rods, so that each real rod corresponds to the virtual rod with which it is associated, wherein the real rods are assembled to each other via the at least one real sleeve by being inserted into the at least one real sleeve, and the real rods and the at least one real sleeve are fixed to each other in an irreversible manner.
