Unit, kit and system for identifying abnormalities in a tissue of a subject

An examination unit for performing an examination of at least one of a breast of a subject and an axilla of the subject and for identifying a tissue abnormality, the examination unit comprising:

• at least one sheet to be attached to the at least one of the breast of the subject and the axilla of the subject, the at least one sheet comprising
• a plurality of measuring electrodes,
• a plurality of first sensing spots, each first sensing spot associated with a tissue portion and configured to
• sense at least one of an electrical profile by a respective measuring electrode from the plurality of measuring electrodes, and an IR radiation profile or thermal profile, and
• generate a respective first sensed data based sensed data,
• a plurality of second sensing spots, each second sensing spot configured to sense from a tissue portion associated therewith an IR radiation profile or thermal profile and generate a respective second sensed data based thereon, and
• at least one current electrode configured to apply electrical current to at least a tissue portion associated with a respective the first sensing spot;
• a processor and memory cooperating therewith and configured to
• operate the first and second sensing spots and receiving each of the respective first and second sensed data,
• control the at least one current electrode to execute a selected electrical current profile, and
• transmit each of the respective first and second sensed data;
• wherein the plurality of measuring electrodes is clustered to a plurality of groups, each group comprises a plurality of measuring electrodes members;
• wherein the processor is configured to operate the plurality of measuring electrodes to measure an electrical profile between each measuring electrode member of a group to any of other measuring electrode members at the same group;
• wherein the electrical profile is selected from one or more of impedance, voltage and current;
• and
• wherein some of the measuring electrodes are common to two or more groups.

A system for performing examination of at least one of a breast of a subject and an axilla of the subject for identifying a tissue abnormality, the system comprising:

• an examination unit comprising
• at least one sheet to be attached to the at least one of the breast of the subject and the axilla of the subject, the at least one sheet comprising
• a plurality of measuring electrodes,
• a plurality of first sensing spots, each first sensing spot associated with a tissue portion and configured to
• sense at least one of an electrical profile by a respective measuring electrode from the plurality of measuring electrodes, and an IR radiation profile or thermal profile, and
• generate a respective first sensed data based sensed data,
• a plurality of second sensing spots, each second sensing spot configured to sense from a tissue portion associated therewith an IR radiation profile or thermal profile and generate a respective second sensed data based thereon, and
• at least one current electrode configured to apply electrical current to at least a tissue portion associated with a respective the first sensing spot,
• a processor and memory cooperating therewith and configured to
• operate the first and second sensing spots and receiving each of the respective first and second sensed data,
• control the at least one current electrode to execute a selected electrical current profile, and
• transmit each of the respective first and second sensed data,
• wherein the plurality of measuring electrodes is clustered to a plurality of groups, each group comprises a plurality of measuring electrodes members,
• wherein the processor is configured to operate the plurality of measuring electrodes to measure an electrical profile between each measuring electrode member of a group to any of other measuring electrode members at the same group,
• wherein the electrical profile is selected from one or more of impedance, voltage and current, and
• wherein some of the measuring electrodes are common to two or more groups;
• an analyzing module configured to
• receive and analyze the at least first sensed data and identify signatures indicative of abnormality in the at least one of the breast of the subject and the axilla of the subject, and
• generate abnormality data based thereon;
• and
• an output module configured to output the abnormality data.

A method for performing examination of at least one of a breast of a subject and an axilla of the subject, the method comprising:

• attaching a plurality of first sensing spots, a plurality of measuring electrodes, and at least one current electrode to the at least one of the breast of the subject and the axilla of the subject;
• wherein each first sensing spot is associated with a tissue portion and is configured to
• sense at least one of an electrical profile by a respective measuring electrode from the plurality of measuring electrodes, and an IR radiation profile or thermal profile, and
• generate a respective first sensed data based sensed data;
• wherein the at least one current electrode is configured to apply electrical current to at least a tissue portion associated with a respective the first sensing spot;
• controlling the at least one current electrode to execute a selected electrical current profile;
• operating the plurality of first and second sensing spots and receiving each of the respective first and second sensed data;
• transmitting each of the respective first sensed data;
• wherein the plurality of measuring electrodes is clustered to a plurality of groups, each group comprises a plurality of measuring electrodes members;
• and
• measuring an electrical profile between each measuring electrode member of a group to any of other measuring electrode members at the same group;
• wherein the electrical profile is selected from one or more of impedance, voltage and current;
• and
• wherein some of the measuring electrodes are common to two or more groups.
