Abstract

According to a method and device for estimating VO2 of a user by using wireless signal around a user, user-specific characteristic data indicating characteristics of change in wireless signal around the user according to a change in a user's body is generated from channel state information collected from the wireless signal transmitted and received between a transmitter and receiver around the user, the user's VO2 is estimated based on an output of a machine learning model by inputting the user-specific characteristic data to the machine learning model, and thus, the user may accurately estimate VO2 without wearing a separate wearable device, such as a mask-type respiratory gas analyzer.
