Abstract
A paper roll assembly comprising a substantially rigid tubular transferable paper roll holder having a central opening and a paper roll. The paper roll comprises a long strip of paper formed into a cylindrical shape by wrapping the long strip of paper about one end of the long strip of paper. The paper roll has a central tubular opening without any paperboard between the long strip of paper and the central tubular opening. The substantially rigid tubular transferable paper roll holder is inserted into the central tubular opening of the paper roll in an interference fit.
Claims18
A method of providing a usable paper roll, the method comprising:
- providing a substantially rigid tubular transferable paper roll holder having a central opening;
- providing a paper roll, the paper roll comprising a long strip of paper formed into a cylindrical shape by wrapping the long strip of paper about one end of the long strip of paper, the paper roll having a central tubular opening without any paperboard between the long strip of paper and the central tubular opening;
- inserting the substantially rigid tubular transferable paper roll holder into the central tubular opening of the paper roll in an interference fit.
A paper roll assembly comprising:
- a substantially rigid tubular transferable paper roll holder having a central opening;
- and
- a paper roll comprising a long strip of paper formed into a cylindrical shape by wrapping the long strip of paper about one end of the long strip of paper, the paper roll having a central tubular opening without stiff paperboard between the long strip of paper and the central tubular opening;
- wherein the substantially rigid tubular transferable paper roll holder is inserted into the central tubular opening of the paper roll in an interference fit.
A paper roll assembly system comprising:
- a substantially rigid tubular transferable paper roll holder having a central opening;
- and
- a plurality of paper rolls, each of the paper rolls comprising a long strip of paper formed into a cylindrical shape by wrapping the long strip of paper about one end of the long strip of paper, the plurality of paper rolls each having a central tubular opening without any paperboard between the long strip of paper and the central tubular opening;
- wherein the substantially rigid tubular transferable paper roll holder can be selectively inserted into the central tubular opening of any of the plurality of paper rolls in an interference fit.
