Abstract
According to some embodiments, an apparatus includes a first tray portion and a second tray portion able to be configured with the first tray portion in an expanded tray configuration. Moreover, an attaching portion (e.g., a clamp) is coupled to at least one of the first and second tray portions and is adapted to be removably attached to a tabletop. Such an arrangement may help a person in a wheelchair utilize the tabletop even when the wheelchair is unable to fit under the tabletop.
Claims7
A dining tray, comprising:
- a first dining tray portion with a cup holder;
- a second dining tray portion able to be configured with the first dining tray portion in an expanded dining tray configuration;
- and
- attaching clamps, coupled to at least one of the first and second dining tray portions, adapted to be removably attached to a tabletop, by a customer at a restaurant, using an adjustable magnet piece for a table raise that has padding to protect the tabletop,
- wherein, when the dining tray is attached to the tabletop, a surface of the first dining portion facing the customer in the expanded dining tray configuration is flat, a surface of the second dining portion facing the customer in the expanded dining tray configuration is flat, and a surface of the dining tray apparatus facing the customer when the dining tray is not in the expanded dining tray configuration is flat.
